There is no separate West Macedonian time zone. As elsewhere in Greece, standard time is two hours ahead of Coordinated Universal Time, and daylight time is three hours ahead. National clock changes apply throughout the region at the same moment.

A journey between regional cities requires no adjustment. The clock also remains unchanged when traveling to Thessaloniki or Athens. Crossing an international border may be different, so confirm the destination zone before continuing beyond Greece.

Near a clock transition, check a live source before a morning bus or scheduled meeting. A phone set to automatic time should receive the correct rule, whereas a vehicle dashboard or wall clock may still display the previous hour.

Kozani is the administrative capital and one of the region’s main urban centers. Ptolemaida is another substantial city nearby. Kastoria stands beside its lake, while Florina and Grevena serve their surrounding districts. None has an independent local time.

Choose Kozani as a general regional reference. Use Kastoria for lake-area sunrise and sunset calculations. Select Florina for the north-western part of the region. Check Grevena or a nearer locality for mountain travel.

Using the closest available city improves daylight information but does not alter the civil time. For ordinary calls and appointments, any West Macedonian city will show the same hour and minute.
