Search boxes treat any phrase that ends in “day” as a feast. This one is a person. She was born Zella Day Kerr on 13 March 1995 in Pinetop-Lakeside, Arizona, and records and performs under Zella Day. A holiday page that ranks for the name still owes the calendar answer first: there is no U.S. federal or state closing called Zella Day. The civil date in front of you is whatever the ordinary grid already said.

National Hugging Day and Native American Day: unrelated civic or unofficial dates that only share the word “day.” Peter Hujar's Day: a film title, another “day” that is not a closing. Fans sometimes treat a release date or a concert night as “Zella Day” in a caption. That caption is a night of music. It expires when the house lights come up. Pick the date you actually meant. 8 March is International Women's Day. 26 August is Women's Equality Day in the United States. 2 March is the usual Read Across America square. 21 January is National Hug Day. None of those dates becomes a Zella concert because the surname collided with the noun.
