Thanksgiving clipart

Thanksgiving clipart is small seasonal artwork for cards, worksheets, and invitations: a turkey, a cornucopia, autumn leaves, a pie. It is decoration for the U.S. November holiday, not the date itself.

How it works

Clipart is a picture meant to sit beside text, not to fill a whole screen. Teachers drop it on a handout. A family drops it on a potluck flyer. A shop drops it on a window sign. The holiday it points to is Thanksgiving Day in the United States: the fourth Thursday in November. In 2026 that Thursday is 26 November. The clipart does not move the feast. A pumpkin on a Tuesday worksheet is still a Tuesday.

Most sets are digital files: PNG with a clear background, SVG for sharp print, sometimes a page of small icons. “Clipart” is not a licence. Some files are public domain. Some are free only for a classroom. Some are for sale. Read the licence on the file you actually download. A search thumbnail is not permission to reprint a book.

What the pictures usually show

U.S. Thanksgiving clipart leans on harvest and the meal, not on a church calendar. You will see the same few objects again and again because they read at a glance on a flyer. A turkey, drawn as a bird or as a cartoon guest at the table.

A cornucopia, a horn piled with produce. Oak and maple leaves, acorns, wheat, pumpkins, squash. A pie, a roasted bird, a long table, a gathered family. Pilgrim hats and buckles on older classroom sheets; many newer sets drop those in favour of food and leaves.

Canadian Thanksgiving is the second Monday in October. Clipart labelled only “Thanksgiving” on a U.S. site is almost always the November Thursday. If you need the October Monday, say so in the search, or you will decorate the wrong month. A turkey file does not roast. Print the flyer, then cook something that does.

Using it without mixing holidays

Keep Thanksgiving clipart off a Christmas card. Red Santa hats and holly are December. Orange leaves and a cornucopia are November. Mixing them on one worksheet teaches the calendar backwards. Halloween clipart (31 October) is a different week and a different set of pictures. If the download pack is titled “fall bundle,” sort it before you print: pumpkins can serve both October and November; witches cannot sit on a Thanksgiving menu.

For a classroom, print in black outline if students will colour; print in colour if the sheet is a notice. For a screen invitation, use a transparent PNG so the type stays readable. For a paper card, a simple one-colour turkey beats a busy collage that vanishes on a copier. The feast is still the fourth Thursday. The art only labels the invitation.
