How it works

The festival is a city week, not a single Saturday. Pleasant Grove has held Strawberry Days since 1921. The city still describes it as Utah’s longest-running community celebration. The week mixes a carnival, concerts, a parade, an art show, a quilt show, sports, and the Strawberry Days Rodeo, which the rodeo’s own site calls Utah’s longest continually running rodeo.

2026 dates were announced as 13–21 June on the festival’s official channels, with the rodeo Wednesday 17 June through Saturday 20 June. That means the middle of the festival is made of weekdays: school-year leftovers, office days, and evening events after work. Saturday is the loud day. It is not the only day.

The name is local history, not a harvest clock you can set from another state. If you are not in Utah County that week, you do not have Strawberry Days. You have June.

Weekdays inside the week

A week-long town festival uses Monday through Friday because that is when the town is present. Art and quilt shows sit in the recreation center on weekdays. Concerts land on a Tuesday evening. Carnival hours on a Wednesday start after the workday. If you only drive in for Saturday, you missed the weekday grid the organizers actually filled.

Rodeo nights in 2026 began midweek. Wednesday 17 June was a weekday performance, not a preview in name. Thursday and Friday continued. Saturday closed that rodeo block. Treating the rodeo as “this weekend” erases the Wednesday family night.

Read the year’s date span, not last year’s memory. Mark weekday evenings separately from Saturday. Put the rodeo on its own four dates; they are not the whole festival. Check parade morning: it is often Saturday, which is why the rest of the week exists at all.

Strawberry Days is a week that happens to include a weekend, not a weekend that borrowed a city’s name.

Rodeo nights and the Saturday parade

The parade is the Saturday picture people share. The weekdays are how a small city spreads the load: pancake breakfasts, contests, tours, and shows that cannot all fit on one morning. 2026’s quilt show listed Wednesday 17 June through Saturday 20 June at the rec center. That is a weekday-heavy exhibit with a Saturday tail.

If you need a hotel, the weekdays around the rodeo are still festival nights. If you need quiet, Saturday is the wrong target. If you need the rodeo, do not wait for a Sunday performance that the 2026 block did not print.

Other towns use “Strawberry Days” for their own berry festivals. Those are other calendars. Pleasant Grove’s week is the one attached to this name in Utah search results. Match the city before you match the fruit.
