How it works
Spirit Halloween is a U.S. seasonal retailer that fills empty retail boxes in late summer and autumn, then leaves after 31 October. Spirit Christmas is the same idea pointed at December: decorations, trees, inflatables, apparel, and gifts in a temporary store. Spencer Gifts owns Spirit Halloween. The Christmas shops are a spinoff of that seasonal machine, not a parish and not a public holiday.
A 2024 regional pilot opened Spirit Christmas stores in the Northeastern United States. In 2025 the company expanded to thirty locations in the Northeast and Great Lakes. Some sites converted from Spirit Halloween after Halloween; some used other empty boxes. Counts and towns change. This page will not pretend a 2025 list is a 2026 law. The shop is a place to buy a wreath. It is not the feast; 25 December still is. USA TODAY reporting on the 2025 season said the stores would close on Christmas Day itself. Hours on other December dates are local. Read the door and the locator, not a memory of a mall in another state.
