How it works

Community Day is a recurring Pokémon GO slot, usually a Saturday afternoon, when one species spawns heavily in the wild and a limited evolution move is available. The June 2026 slot featured Frigibax, a Dragon- and Ice-type from Paldea. Niantic and The Pokémon Company posted the window in advance: Saturday 20 June 2026, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. in each time zone. Trainers who evolved Arctibax into Baxcalibur during the event, or in the four hours after it, could get the Charged Attack Glaive Rush. That evolution cut-off was 9:00 p.m. local. The spawn window and the move window were not the same length. Catching after 5 p.m. on an ordinary incense was not the event.

From Thursday 3 September 2026 that Saturday is already over. The species remains in the game. The Community Day bonuses do not. A later event can bring Frigibax back; this page will not invent the date. Official pages called it the first Community Day to feature a Dragon- and Ice-type Pokémon and noted that shiny Frigibax and special-background encounters were possible during the hours. Possibility is not a guarantee in your neighbourhood. Weather, movement, and luck still applied.

Bonuses posted for those three hours included 3× Stardust for catches, 2× catch Candy, a higher chance of Candy XL for trainers level 31 and up, and incense that lasted three hours if started in the window. Lure and trade extras ran longer, into the evening, on the official list. Field research and a paid Special Research ticket were part of the same Saturday. None of that is a public holiday. Parks stayed public parks. Offices stayed offices.

What you can still do after the Saturday

You can still walk, still catch Frigibax if it spawns, still evolve along the line to Baxcalibur. You cannot still claim the Community Day Glaive Rush window that closed at 9 p.m. local on 20 June 2026 unless another posted event reopens that move. Do not spend rare candy on a hope you have not read in the current in-game news. The news tab is the document. A memory of June is not.

Today, 3 September 2026: the window is closed. If you missed the three hours, you missed that day’s boosted spawn. You did not miss a civic rite. There is no makeup parade. Community Day Classic weekends sometimes rerun old featured moves; wait for an announcement that names Baxcalibur or Glaive Rush. A guess on a forum is a guess.

A Community Day ends at local 5 p.m. even if your bag is not full. The ice type will not hold the sun.

Do not treat a spawn hour as a feast day

People search Frigibax community day months later because they still want the shiny, the hundo, or the move. The search is a game query wearing the word day. Labor Day, 7 September 2026, is the actual U.S. federal holiday in this week. Do not mix them. A raid hour is not Easter. A lure module is not a lantern for Ramadan. Put the phone down at 5 p.m. if you are still in June in your head. In September the honest next step is to read whatever Community Day is actually on the calendar now, which will be another species unless the company said otherwise.

Frigibax evolves to Arctibax and then to Baxcalibur. That family remains. The June poster does not. If a friend forwards last June’s graphic in December, check the year on the image. A recycled flyer is how trainers stand in the rain on the wrong Saturday.
