Flag Day in the United States is June 14. It marks the day in 1777 when the Second Continental Congress adopted the Stars and Stripes. Offices stay open; the date is an observance, not a national day off.

Haitian communities in U.S. cities often mark May 18 with parades, music, and the blue-and-red flag. That is not June 14. Searching “flag day” in Miami or Brooklyn in May may mean Haiti. Searching it in June in the rest of the United States usually means the Stars and Stripes.
