February calendar
February is the second month. In a common year it has 28 days; in a leap year it has 29. The February calendar is that month laid out by weekday.
How it works
A year is twelve months. February sits after January and before March. Those neighbours are long: January has 31 days and March has 31 days. February is the short one. The civil calendar still has to line its dates up with weekdays, so the month is drawn as a grid. Each cell is a date. Each column is a weekday. Empty cells at the start or the end belong to January or March, not to February.
Which weekday gets 1 February depends on the year. The month does not own a fixed opening day. Once you know the weekday of the first, the rest of the month follows in order. There is no skipped date in the middle. There is no 30 February. The only extra date that can appear is 29 February, and only in a leap year.
Two common grids exist. A week that starts on Sunday puts Saturday at the end of the row. A week that starts on Monday puts Sunday at the end. The dates do not change. Only the columns move. If you print a February calendar, pick one convention and keep it for the whole page. Mixing them makes Thursday look like Friday.
Common February: dates 1 through 28. Leap February: dates 1 through 29. Next month always begins on 1 March, the day after February ends. The weekday of 1 March is the weekday after the last February date.
To build the grid by hand, find the weekday of 1 February, write that date in the matching column, then fill rightward and downward until the last date. The leftover boxes stay blank. Those blanks are not missing days. They are days that do not belong to this month.
February 2027 on the grid
2027 is not a leap year. February 2027 therefore has 28 days. 1 February 2027 is a Monday. 28 February 2027 is a Sunday. If your week begins on Monday, that month is four complete rows with no leading blank and no trailing blank: 1–7, 8–14, 15–21, and 22–28.
If your week begins on Sunday, the first row starts with an empty Sunday cell, then Monday the 1st through Saturday the 7th. The last row holds Sunday the 28th alone, with six empty cells after it. Same dates. Different empty corners.
January 2027 has 31 days and begins on Friday, so it ends on Sunday 31 January. That Sunday is the day before February’s Monday start. March 2027 then begins on Monday 1 March, because 28 February is Sunday. People looking up a february 2027 calendar are usually trying to see that Monday start, not trying to learn the leap-year rule again.
2024 and 2028 are leap years. 2025, 2026, and 2027 are not. A leap year in the Gregorian calendar is a year divisible by 4, except a century year that is not also divisible by 400. 2027 is not divisible by 4, so February stops at 28.
When February starts on Monday and ends on Sunday, the calendar is not hiding a day. The month is exactly four weeks long.

- No. Friday the 13th happens only when the 1st is a Sunday. In 2027 the 1st is Monday, so the 13th is Saturday.
