English uses “fallen for” when the liking is already done. Fallen for Christmas is that sentence pointed at December: the lights are up, the playlist has switched, the first film is queued, the first biscuit tin is open. You are not waiting to be convinced. The house has changed jobs. The civil calendar has not jumped. 25 December 2026 is still a Friday. The mood arrived early. The feast has not.

People also type the phrase when they mean a movie title and dropped a letter. There is no widely released feature whose on-screen title is exactly Fallen for Christmas. What they usually want is Falling for Christmas, the 2022 Netflix romantic comedy with Lindsay Lohan, or the 2016 television film released in some listings under that same English title, originally called Snowcapped Christmas, with Leah Renee and Niall Matter. Those are two different pictures. One is a 2022 streaming rom-com. The other is a 2016 TV movie about an injured figure skater sent to recover in the mountains. Neither one relocates Christmas.
