How to interpret Maryland sunrise times

There is no single sunrise reading that precisely represents all of Maryland. Ocean City, Baltimore, Annapolis, and Cumberland occupy different longitudes and have different surroundings. A city-based result is therefore more useful than a generic statewide estimate.
