The current time shown for Unity applies in Bentiu and other communities within the state. Bentiu is the state capital and the clearest city reference for local time, travel coordination, and a general sunrise calculation.

Unity’s administrative boundaries have changed during South Sudan’s reorganizations. The state was replaced for a period by smaller units and was later re-established, while the northern Ruweng area received a separate administrative status. These changes did not create separate clocks.
