The current time is uniform across Tokushima Prefecture on eastern Shikoku. Crossing a bridge, following the coast, or travelling into an inland valley does not require any time adjustment. Japan’s stable national time zone keeps Tokushima synchronized with nearby Kagawa, Kochi, and Ehime as well as distant Tokyo.
