Use Verbania or the exact municipality for the lake and Alpine north. The time-zone answer never changes between these places. The local choice improves the accuracy of daylight and weather details.

Sunrise on the plain and in the Alps

Piedmont’s name reflects its position near the mountains, and those mountains strongly influence visible sunlight. Turin lies on the plain near hills and Alpine arcs, while many western and northern communities occupy valleys with restricted horizons.
