Rheinland-Pfalz, known in English as Rhineland-Palatinate, is a state in western Germany. It uses one time zone throughout its territory. Its standard time is CET, which corresponds to UTC+1. When daylight-saving time applies, local clocks show CEST, corresponding to UTC+2. This change is coordinated across Germany, so trips into Hesse, Saarland, Baden-Württemberg, or North Rhine-Westphalia do not cross a time-zone line.

Cross-river journeys can enter another federal state, but not another German time zone.
