Woodfield hours follow the mall board at Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg, Illinois: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
How it works
Woodfield Mall is a Simon center. The regular center hours on the mall’s own listing are Monday through Thursday 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday and Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Sunday 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. That board is the mall’s clock, not every tenant’s clock. Restaurants, some anchors, and special events can open earlier or stay later. A dark corridor at 8:05 p.m. on a Tuesday is the mall telling the truth even if a food court still has lights.
Ten in the morning is a sleep-friendly open. You can keep a full night, eat, and still arrive at the first hour. Sunday’s 11:00 a.m. open is even later. The mall is built for people who have already slept, not for people who treat shopping as a dawn shift. The evening close is where sleep gets spent. An 8:00 p.m. Tuesday lock sits next to a work-night bedtime. A 9:00 p.m. Saturday lock is the weekend version of the same trade.
Mall walking is a third schedule. Walkers are welcomed earlier than the shops, in the hours when the corridors are open and most stores are still gated. That early window is useful if you want movement without purchases. It is not a promise that Nordstrom is selling shoes at 8:15 a.m. If you need a store, you need the store’s line as well as the center line.
Mall walking before the shops, bedtime after the close
If your aim is sleep, Woodfield is an easy mall to live with, because it does not ask you to wake in the dark to catch an open. If your aim is a late-night wander, it is a hard mall, because 8:00 p.m. on a weekday is not late. Drive time in the Chicago suburbs can eat the last hour before that close. Leave earlier than the map’s arrival guess if you still want to walk in, not just park.
Sunday’s 6:00 p.m. close is the one people miss. A long lunch and a slow afternoon can run into a locked center while you still thought you had “the evening.” You did not. You had until 6:00 p.m. Treat Sunday as a midday mall, then go home while there is still night left to sleep. Friday and Saturday are the evenings that run to 9:00 p.m. Use those if you need the extra hour, and only if that extra hour does not steal the next morning.

Sunday eleven and the tenant that ignores the mall
Holiday hours override the regular board for named dates. Labor Day 2026 is posted as 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., a Monday that keeps the weekday pattern rather than a Sunday close. Other holidays can shrink, extend, or close the center. Read the week of the trip.
A tenant can ignore the mall in either direction. A restaurant may serve after the corridors quiet. An anchor may keep outer doors on a different last hour. A specialty shop can close before the center does. If you are going for one store, that store’s page is the schedule. If you are walking the building, the center hours are the schedule. Mixing them is how you stand at a glass door with a bag you cannot return.
Children make the 8:00 p.m. weekday close a hard stop. A 7:40 p.m. “one more shop” is how a school night loses its landing. Come at 10:30 a.m., when the mall has just opened. The play area, where it is open, can have a shorter board than the center. Keep the night for sleep. The mall will open again at 10:00 a.m., or at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, after you have used the dark.
