Mva hours

Maryland MVA hours are a weekday government clock: most branches list 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, a Saturday morning, and a closed Sunday. Confirm that branch, including the first-Thursday evening.

How it works

The Motor Vehicle Administration is Maryland’s driver and vehicle agency. Branch hours are printed on each location page in Eastern Time. A typical full-service board is Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Saturday morning, and Sunday closed. MVA pages also state that branches stay open until 6:30 p.m. on the first Thursday of the month. Baltimore City’s listing, for example, shows Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Other branches print a Saturday morning in the same spirit. Holidays, training days, and special hours overwrite the grid on a separate closings page.

How it works with a job is the problem the board was not designed to solve. A 4:30 p.m. close is earlier than many desks. If you work 9 to 5, a walk-in on Tuesday afternoon is a request for leave, a manager’s nod, or a missed window. Saturday morning is the slot the agency left for people who cannot come midweek. The first-Thursday evening is the other slot: two extra hours once a month, still a worknight, still not a night shift. Sunday does not exist as a branch day.

More than sixty transactions can be done online. Licenses and ID cards are mailed; they are not printed at the counter as a same-visit plastic. Kiosks at some branches run all day and night for a subset of tasks. The kiosk is not the road test. The kiosk is not a CDL skills exam. Match the tool to the errand before you take time off.

A desk that closes before yours

Treat a branch visit as a workday appointment, not as an errand on the way home. If you need a knowledge test, a title, or an in-person identity check, book the slot on myMVA and protect the travel time. Walk-ins are not a promise of a short line at 4:10 p.m. The last hour of a government counter is not a retail last hour. If you are not already in process, 4:25 p.m. is a closed plan even if the lobby lights are on.

Pick the clock that can actually finish the task: Online: the default, if your transaction is in that list. Weekday with an appointment: the full-service board, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. First Thursday: until 6:30 p.m., still bring the appointment if the service offers one.

Saturday morning: the weekend window; confirm what that branch still processes on Saturday. Kiosk: any hour it is in service, for the kiosk menu only. Emissions stations (VEIP) are not branch hours. Testing stations print their own week, including some later evenings and a Saturday that is not the branch Saturday. A 24-hour emissions kiosk is another device. If the job is a sticker and the car failed, do not stand in a driver-license line. Go to the VEIP listing.

Saturday morning and the kiosk

Saturday morning is the worker’s branch. It is also short. A late sleep on Saturday plus a long drive is how you arrive at a noon lock with a folder of originals. Set the alarm. Bring the documents the checklist named, not a photo of them. If Saturday services are limited at that branch, a title errand can fail even while a license errand would have worked. Read the location page, not a memory of another county.

The 24-hour kiosk is how some renewals stop costing a day of pay. It is not how a first license happens. It is not how a skills test happens. If you try the kiosk after a night shift, you can do it at 2 a.m. If the kiosk then tells you the transaction needs a human, you are back on the 8:30 a.m. board. That is not a trick. That is two systems.

A 4:30 p.m. counter will not wait for a 5 p.m. job. Saturday morning is the compromise the agency already posted. Use it, or use the kiosk, or take the leave. Holiday Mondays close the branch on days many private jobs still run. Check the closings list before you burn a day off. A “service reduction” day can look open on a map pin and still refuse the thing you came for. The location dashboard’s wait time is a live hint, not a substitute for hours. If the pin says closed, it is closed.

Questions and answers

What are Maryland MVA branch hours?
Most branches list 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, a Saturday morning, and Sunday closed, with 6:30 p.m. on the first Thursday. Confirm that location.
Is there an evening MVA branch?
Ordinary weekdays end at 4:30 p.m. The first Thursday of the month runs until 6:30 p.m. Otherwise use Saturday morning, a kiosk, or online.
Do I need an appointment?
Book one for in-person services that offer it. A late walk-in at a 4:30 p.m. close is a poor plan.

100 seconds

100 seconds equals one minute forty seconds, or 100 s, or PT1M40S. It is a short duration. It is not 1:00, and it is not a hundred on a digital clock.

13 hour cast

A 13 hour cast writes thirteen hours as a label in front of the word cast. Most people who type it want the actors in the film 13 Hours. The number is a duration, not a clock time.
