How it works

Maurices is a women’s clothing retailer. It is not a dawn grocery and not a 24-hour anything. The useful work question is whether you can reach it on a lunch break or after a shift. Mid-morning opens — often around 10 or 11 a.m. on published store pages — miss the start of a day job and fit a later errand. Evening closes on weekdays are frequently in the 8 p.m. or 9 p.m. range at malls, and earlier at some strip-center stores. Those numbers are patterns from individual listings, not a law. The store page or the mall directory is the board.

Sunday is the short row at many locations: a later open and an earlier close, sometimes noon to 6 p.m. A few stores post different Sunday hours or follow a mall that is dark that day. Do not copy Saturday onto Sunday. Do not copy another city’s Maurices onto yours.

Pickup counters and fitting rooms live inside the same open. If the mall locks the concourse, the store is done even if you remember a later brand time. Refresh the listing the day you go, especially after dinner on a work night.

Lunch hour versus Sunday afternoon

A lunch visit only works if the store is already open and close enough to return on time. A 10 a.m. open can make an early lunch possible and a 9:30 a.m. break useless. After work is the more common fit: leave a 5 p.m. job and still have weekday evening hours at many malls. The cost is bedtime. A 7:45 p.m. wander on a Tuesday is shopping with tomorrow’s alarm already running.

Sunday afternoon is the slot for people whose weekdays are fully stacked. It is also the slot with the shortest board. Arrive at 11 a.m. on a Sunday that opens at noon and you are in the parking lot. Stay toward the listed close and you are in the last-call fitting room. For a work-week wardrobe errand, a weekday evening or a Saturday is the row that actually matches how the store staffs the floor.

Open that store’s hours; read Sunday separately from Monday–Saturday. If it is a mall store, read the mall close too. Use weekday evening only if you can finish before your last good hour for sleep. Use lunch only if the doors are already open and the trip fits the break.

Maurices will not open at dawn for your commute. It sells clothes on a store clock, not on a factory whistle.

Holidays and the mall’s last hour

Holiday weeks are posted, not guessed. Individual Maurices pages have listed Christmas Day as closed and have shortened Christmas Eve. Other December evenings can run longer for a stretch of dates and then vanish. Thanksgiving and Easter Sunday follow that store’s notice, not a grocery chain’s three closed days. Do not import another brand’s holiday list.

Black Friday and similar retail dates can pull a morning earlier than the usual weekday open. That early board is a November exception. It is a poor model for an ordinary work-week Tuesday in March. If you need a work outfit in a hurry, the reliable path is the ordinary weekday evening or Saturday, not a holiday rumor.

Online orders have their own cutoff, which is not the door. A store that is still lit may have stopped same-day pickup. If the errand is a hold at the counter, read that line. The workday you spend driving should match a counter that is still staffed.
