Lifetime hours
Life Time hours are that club’s posted open and close, not a 24-hour promise. Weekday boards often start very early and run late. Weekends, guests, and pools keep shorter lines.
How it works
Life Time (styled that way by the company) is an athletic club, not a grocery and not an unstaffed box that never locks. Each location publishes club hours. A pattern on many club pages is a weekday open around 4:00 a.m. and a close at midnight, with Saturday and Sunday starting later — often around 5:00 a.m. — and ending earlier, often around 10:00 p.m. That is a pattern, not a law. Some clubs open later in the morning on weekends. Holiday weeks and local notices overwrite the ordinary grid. The hours page for the club you will walk into is the clock.
Membership type is a second clock. Limited-access memberships at clubs that offer them are often restricted to mid-day weekday windows and a shorter weekend span. Guest hours are frequently shorter than member hours. You can hold a card that is welcome at 4:05 a.m. on a Tuesday and still be locked out on a guest pass at that same minute. Read the row that matches how you are entering, not the longest row on the page.
Sleep is the hidden partner of a 4:00 a.m. gym. That open exists for people whose workday starts at dawn, or whose only quiet floor is before the commuter rush. It is also a trap: an alarm that treats the first legal minute as a moral duty. Training while short on rest is still training. It is also a choice to spend the night. The club will unlock whether or not you slept. Recovery will not.
Four a.m. iron, and the night you skip for it
If you already wake at 3:40 for a job, the early floor can sit inside a day you were going to start anyway. If you do not, a 4:00 a.m. session is a new job you gave yourself. Lay out shoes the evening before, then sleep. Do not “just check one more video” until the small hours and call the 4:10 a.m. arrival discipline. The arrival is only the second half of the night you already spent.
The late edge is a different theft. A weekday close at midnight lets a person train after a long shift. It also sits on top of a work-night bedtime. A session that starts at 10:50 p.m. is a workout and a delay: lights, a shower, a drive, a brain that is still counting reps in bed. If you must be up at 5:30, the last honest set is earlier than the last legal one. Weekend 10:00 p.m. closes are sharper still for households with a child’s sleep.
Member club hours: that building’s grid, often very early weekdays and a shorter weekend. Limited-access hours: a narrower window where that membership exists. Guest hours: often shorter than the member floor.
Pools, courts, kids academy, spa, café: their own, usually shorter, boards. A club that unlocks at 4:00 a.m. will not refund the night you spent proving you could be there.
Water, kids, and the room that already closed
Indoor pools commonly stop a few minutes before the club. Outdoor pools, slides, and seasonal water parks follow weather and a summer calendar, not the weight-room close. Basketball and tennis can end before midnight even when the floor is still lit. A kids academy or childcare desk, where the club offers it, is a daytime service. Do not plan a 4:00 a.m. drop-off because the member doors are open. The child still needs a night. So do you.
Holidays rewrite gyms the way they rewrite offices. Some clubs post short days. Some close. Do not copy a 24-hour fitness brand onto Life Time; these boards are long, not endless. If you travel, the club in the next city is a different page. Finish the session, shower, go home, sleep. The squat rack will be there at the next posted open. Your missed hours of rest will not be waiting on a bench.
Questions and answers
- What time does Life Time open?
- It depends on the club. Many weekday boards start around 4:00 a.m.; weekends often start later. Use that club’s hours page.
- Is Life Time open 24 hours?
- Typical club pages show a close, often midnight on weekdays and earlier on weekends. That is a long day, not an all-night floor.
- Can a guest come as early as a member?
- Often not. Guest hours are commonly shorter. Limited-access memberships can be shorter still. Read the row that matches the pass.

100 seconds
100 seconds equals one minute forty seconds, or 100 s, or PT1M40S. It is a short duration. It is not 1:00, and it is not a hundred on a digital clock.
120 minutes in hour
120 minutes is 2 hours, because one hour holds 60 minutes. Write it as 2:00 or as two hours; it is not 120 hours.
13 hour cast
A 13 hour cast writes thirteen hours as a label in front of the word cast. Most people who type it want the actors in the film 13 Hours. The number is a duration, not a clock time.
