How it works
Fleet Feet shops are specialty running stores, not a single national chain with one pair of times. Ownership is local. The weekday open, the Saturday open, and the Sunday line (if Sunday exists) are decided at that address. A shop next to an office park may open in time for a lunch fitting. A shop next to a trailhead may open in time for people who run before a shift. Neither pattern is a rule you can copy onto the next city.
Work is the collision. Runners who train before work need a door that is actually unlocked at that hour, or they need to buy and fit on a different day. Runners who train after work need a close that outlasts the commute. Specialty retail is not a 24-hour box. Many locations keep ordinary daytime and early-evening hours. If your only free time is 5:30 a.m., this is often the wrong kind of shop unless that page says it opens then.
Gait analysis, shoe fitting, and race-season events are booked against staff time. The store can be open for browsing while the fitter you need is already with someone else. An appointment on the calendar is the hours that matter for that visit. Walking in at 12:05 because your meeting ended early is a hope, not a booking.
Hours around a run, not around a rumor
Open the location page for that Fleet Feet; write the weekday and weekend rows on the same note as your workout days. If you need a fitting, book it. Do not treat open hours as a guarantee of staff time.
If you run before work, check the open, not the close. If you run after work, check the close, not a Saturday memory. Ask whether returns and exchanges use the same hours as sales. A back-room task can end earlier than the floor.
Group runs and in-store clinics have start times of their own. A Tuesday evening run that leaves the parking lot at a posted hour is not the same as “the store is open until then.” You can miss the run and still shop, or catch the run and find the registers already dark.
