Family dollar store hours

Family Dollar store hours are set by each location, not by a single national clock. Holiday hours, including Christmas, are a separate posting for that store and that year.

Time By Online Alarm Clock

How it works

Family Dollar is a U.S. discount variety chain. Each store posts when it unlocks and when it locks. Neighbouring stores under the same name can differ by an hour. A door sticker, a phone listing, and a store-locator page are the three places that listing usually lives. If they disagree, believe the door you are about to use, or call that store the same day. A photo of hours from another town is not this store’s clock.

Ordinary weekday hours are one posting. Saturday and Sunday can be another. Holiday hours are a third. Christmas Day is 25 December, a U.S. federal holiday, and in 2026 it falls on a Friday. Many U.S. discount stores close on that date or run a short day; Family Dollar is not exempt from the need to check. This page will not invent an opening time, a closing time, or a chain-wide Christmas promise. Those figures, when they exist, are published by the store and the company for that year. Copy them from there, not from memory of a different December.

Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day are the winter dates that most often get a special line on a hours sheet. Eve is 24 December. In 2026 Eve is Thursday. A short Thursday does not tell you Friday. A closed Friday does not tell you Saturday 26 December. Read the row for the date you will stand at the door.

How to read a hours posting

A hours sign is a timetable, not a slogan. Look for the day of week and for named holidays. If Christmas is listed as closed, treat it as closed. If Christmas is listed with a pair of times, those times are that year’s plan for that store until a later notice replaces them. If Christmas is not listed at all, do not fill the blank with a weekday row. Call.

Open the locator or the listing for the exact address. Check today’s ordinary hours if you are going on a normal date. If you need 24 or 25 December, look for a holiday line for that year. If the holiday line is missing, phone the store or read the door that week.

Do not reuse last year’s screenshot. Hours are allowed to change. From 3 September 2026, Christmas Day is 113 days away. That countdown is useful for planning a shop before the 25th. It is not a substitute for the hours sheet. Buying early is how you avoid discovering a locked door on a Friday federal holiday. If you must shop on the 25th, you need this year’s Christmas line, not the remaining-day count.

Holiday hours live on that store’s door. A chain name is not a clock, and a neighbour’s memory is not a key.

Christmas week is not a normal week

A Family Dollar that is open on a typical Friday in September can still be closed or short on Friday 25 December 2026. Staffing, local rules, and the company’s holiday notice decide that. A Dollar Tree, a grocery, or a pharmacy next door can post a different Christmas line. Do not copy one door onto another because the parking lot is shared.

If the store is closed on the 25th, the errand moves to the 24th or the 26th. Thursday Eve hours may end early. Saturday hours on the 26th are Saturday hours, not “the day after a holiday” unless the posting says so. Banks will still be following the federal holiday on the 25th; this chain is not a bank. The two clocks can disagree, and both can be right.

Summer hours, if a store uses them, are not winter hours. Do not take a July closing time into December. Do not take a December holiday close into July. The sign is dated by the season it was printed for, even when the cardboard does not say the year. When in doubt, the locator for this week is newer than the faded sticker, and the person who answers the store phone is newer than both — unless the phone plays a hours recording, in which case listen to the recording for the holiday clause.

Questions and answers

What time does Family Dollar open?
Whatever that store posted. There is no single national opening time on this page, because inventing one would be a false clock.
Is Family Dollar open on Christmas Day?
Check that store’s holiday line for this year. Christmas Day is 25 December, a U.S. federal holiday; many discount stores close or shorten the day. Do not guess.
How many days until Christmas Day from 3 September 2026?
113 days, to Friday 25 December 2026. Use that count to shop early; use the hours sheet to know whether the 25th itself is open.

100 seconds

100 seconds equals one minute forty seconds, or 100 s, or PT1M40S. It is a short duration. It is not 1:00, and it is not a hundred on a digital clock.

Hours and minutes

13 hour cast

A 13 hour cast writes thirteen hours as a label in front of the word cast. Most people who type it want the actors in the film 13 Hours. The number is a duration, not a clock time.
