Big Y is a New England grocery banner. There is no single pair of times for every building. The company’s own adjusted-hours page states that most supermarket locations are open 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Express and fuel-style sites can start closer to 5:00 a.m. and run later into the evening. Departments inside the same roof keep their own rows. The locator for that address is the schedule, including when weather or a holiday temporarily moves it.

A 7:00 a.m. grocery open is a sleep problem as much as a milk problem. That light sits on top of a lot of first alarms. If you already wake for a job, you can finish the list while the aisles are still quiet. If you do not, that hour is not a wellness ritual; it is a store that started without you. A 9:00 p.m. lock is earlier than many national grocers that linger toward 10:00 or 11:00. Plan dinner shopping after work, not as a last stop before bed.

Pharmacy, deli, seafood, and floral can disagree with the grocery floor. A store that is still selling bananas at 8:40 p.m. may have locked the pharmacy hours earlier, and Sunday pharmacy is often closed even when the market is open. Pickup and delivery, where offered, have their own cutoffs. The door time and the app time are two clocks.

Seven to nine is not five to midnight

People copy a 24-hour memory onto a Big Y and then wait on the asphalt at 9:20 p.m. in front of a market that already went dark. The brand is a supermarket. The rest you just spent on that asphalt is gone. Read Sunday as its own row even when it matches the weekday; some buildings keep one window all week, and Express sites do not. A 5:00 a.m. Express open is a different night from a 7:00 a.m. market. Do not borrow the early fuel store’s window and apply it to the supermarket across town.

Work-night shopping at 8:50 p.m. cuts into the night you still needed. Morning shopping at 7:10 a.m. cuts into the slow start you promised yourself. If bedtime is already a fight, take the list off the last twenty minutes. If you work nights and this location locks at 9:00, it will never match you; another banner with a later board will. That is a clock mismatch, not a failure of the produce.

Most supermarket boards: about 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., confirmed on that store’s page. Express hours can start earlier; do not copy them onto a full market. Pharmacy hours are a second board, often shorter, and Sunday can be closed.

App pickup can stop while the doors are still open. Nine o’clock at a New England grocery is not a suggestion. It is the hour the lights go down, whether the cereal box is in your hand or still in aisle seven.

Closed days, weather, and the night you keep

Thanksgiving and Christmas Day are full closes at this banner. Easter is widely treated as a closed Sunday as well; confirm that week rather than assuming a normal grocery. December 24 is commonly a shortened evening. Weather can move hours without a national press release. The adjusted-hours page exists because ice and holidays both change the floor. Finish the holiday list on a weekday before the close, while you can still think.

Children in the cart make 8:55 p.m. a worse idea than 7:15 a.m. Milk is not a reason to blow a school night. If the house is already short on rest, shop after the morning open or after school, not in the last five minutes. Food keeps in the fridge. You do not refill in the dairy case.
